Malaysian actress Nadia Kesuma reported missing at Saudi airport during transit

SEPANG, Jan 15 — Police have confirmed receiving a report regarding the disappearance of actress Nadia Kesuma, who went missing while transiting at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport.

The report was lodged by a family member at the KLIA Police headquarters here on Wednesday.

KLIA Police chief ACP M. Ravi confirmed the report and said further investigations are underway.

The actress, whose real name is Nadia Kasumawati Abdul Karim, was reported missing after she could not be traced during her transit.

She was transiting during her flight from Kuala Lumpur to London on Thursday.

Malaysian Artistes Association (Seniman) secretary-general Hafiz Nafiah said he had personally informed Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan of the disappearance.

He said this was so that immediate action could be taken to trace the actress.

No further details on the circumstances of her disappearance have been released by authorities.

The case involves international coordination between Malaysian and Saudi officials.
